PVC Sheets – Andoplus

BTJ generally consists of PVC/UPVC and ASA.
PVC or polyvinyl chloride is one of the most significant products in the petrochemical industry and is used in various industries. In recent years, with the advancement of knowledge and technology, this product is being taken as a replacement for most traditional construction materials such as cement, ceramic etc. BTJ products generally consist of PVC and additives for enhanced strength. The coating is made up of strongest anti-UV materials called ASA with granular paint and melted extrusion. A layer is injected on the PVC sheet.
ASA, which forms the outer coating of the sheets, is a strong anti-UV material to protect the paint and the product itself. This is a type of engineered resin that resulted from research projects of reputable laboratories around the world.
Notable features of this coating are very high durability and increased weathering resistance, no abrasion and corrosion by chemical agents (such as salt, base, acid, etc.), thermal insulation, and cold and humidity insulation.
In old construction materials, problems such as heavy weight, lack of paint resistance to sunlight and high maintenance costs, the need to use thermal insulation under coatings, rust, etc, were the main disadvantages. Scientific advancements and the enhanced properties of PVC sheets, working on the disadvantages of previous coatings and using the latest technologies in the world, helped us to proudly enter the construction industry market of our country with a national product of the BTJ brand by the domestic production of UPVC roofing sheets using our experienced workforce and new equipments.
All industries related to metal, stone and other traditional construction materials in the world have turned to the PVC polymer industry.
Takht-e Jamshid Company in Iran has taken the lead in the production of PVC roofing and wall sheets.
BTJ products are divided into two categories:
  • Luxury villas, pavilions (gazebo) and building facades
  • Industrial, office, health, dairy farm sheds

Advantages of PVC roofing

  • Thermal insulation
  • Long service life
  • Light weight
  • Limited priming
  • Ease of installation
  • Nonflammable
  • Paint endurance against sunlight and UV rays due to the use of ASA
  • Resistance to corrosion and chemicals
  • Self-washable due to its hydrophobicity
  • Usable in all climates (-30 to +70°C)
  • Recyclable

Paint endurance

ASA paint resin, which forms the coating on the sheet, is the world’s top technology to maintain durability and prevent any change in the color of the product under adverse weather conditions, heat, cold and UV rays.

Resistance to the sun and UV rays

Roof coatings are always exposed to atmospheric factors such as sunlight and heat, UV rays etc. Resistance of these coatings against mentioned factors is one of the prominent features of this product. The sheets are completely resistant to sun and UV rays due to the use of anti-UV layer.

Light weight

The weight of a roof is very important considering the load it imposes on the structure. While maintaining its strength, the lighter the roof, the superior the product. They are inherently light due to their polymer structure and weigh only 3.5kg per square meter. In building weigh reduction techniques, these types of roofing impose minimum dead load on the building in the calculations.

Thermal and sound insulation

PVC sheets are very good insulators for two reasons. 1. This polymer inherently has a low heat transfer coefficient; and 2. Due to the unique production methods of the sheet, it could reflect 80% of the radiated light. The thermal conductivity of BTJ roof coatings is 325%W/m.k. This is 0.05% of galvanized sheets with a thickness of 0.5 mm. In addition to low heat transfer coefficient, PVC sheets have a low heat transfer coefficient and do not intensify it.

  • Three-layered PVC sheets with a thickness of 2 to 3 mm are suitable for sloped roofs, especially in southern areas.
  • PVC sheet is the only product that has showed a good performance compared to other roof coatings in the tropical areas.
  • These sheets maintain their color and quality from -30 to +70°C.

Ease of installation and installation

Certainly, the ease and speed of installation are very significant and decisive in the project schedule and costs. Due to their high surface tension and excellent ductility (bending and tensile test), PVC sheets create peace of mind and confidence for the operator to walk easily on the sheets and perform the installation process, which increases the speed of operation. Also, the process of transferring the sheets to the top of the structure is performed with ease and high speed due to the low weight and suitable flexibility of the sheets.
